Abstract

The 5th International Community Service Program (PKM Internasional V) is a community service initiative by Indonesian lecturers conducted in a hybrid format in collaboration with Lukmanulhakeem School, Thailand, as the main partner. PKM Internasional V involved 97 participants from 51 universities in Indonesia. The program's theme, "Empowering Teachers and Students through Education and Cross-Cultural Collaboration," aims to enhance the competencies of teachers and students through counseling, training, and educational materials based on local and global cultural values. The beneficiaries of this program include 35 teachers, 116 student Lukmanulhakeem School, Yala – Thailand; and 42 Murid Sanggar Bimbingan Belajar Muhammadiyah, Kampung Baru - Malaysia, with the focus materials covering Bullying Prevention in Schools, The Role of Teachers in the Era of Society 5.0, Sharia Economics for Teachers, Health Education on Scoliosis for Adolescents, and Character Education Based on Religion and Culture. Additionally, materials on cultural linguistics were presented to build bridges of cross-cultural understanding from an early age. The implementation of PKM Internasional V spanned one semester, from August to December 2024, with on-site activities conducted at Lukmanulhakeem School, Yala - Thailand, on December 13, 2024, and at Sanggar Bimbingan Muhammadiyah – Malaysia, on December 14, 2024, alongside online sessions involving participants from various universities. The program's outputs include journal articles, international certificates, and activity reports. The positive impacts of this program include increased cross-cultural awareness for teachers and participants, motivation for teachers to apply innovative methods in schools, and the strengthening of international academic networks between universities and educational partners in Thailand and Malaysia. This program is expected to become an effective and sustainable model of community service that supports the improvement of education quality at the global level.
